she was already awake and ask herself, what she should do next. She had periods in which she would work energetically during the night. She also said that she used to like sour fruit, but that because of her tongue she does not eat such fruits now. All these symptoms indicate what?
(A. 11): Medorrhinum.
(G.V.): We would be justified, up until now, in saying that this a case of a Medorrhinum child who experienced grief several times; and this grief was ameliorated, to some extent, by Ignatia or Natrum muriaticum. In short, this is a case of grief that was imprinted upon a Medorrhinum state.
(A. 12): You’ve said in your essays that the main characteristic of Medorrhinum is wildness. Where is the wildness in this patient?(G.V.): We will find that out. What we now have to ask is whether this symptomatology is really Medorrhinum, because considering the fact that she never took Medorrhinum, where has the symptomatology gone to now? The fears on which we were basing our prescription of Medorrhinum are not present anymore. What has happened? Did Medorrhinum vanish when she overcame these fears? Did she have a layer of Medorrhinum that was wiped out by some of the other remedies she took? Can she still be Medorrhinum once she has overcome these fears?I go on to analyze her character from the information she gave me and from what she said to me at the beginning of the inter-view. I got a sense of, “Don’t push me too much.” I told her that if I didn’t push, I might not find her remedy. She was hesitant, so I did not investigate and I did not push her, because that was the agreement. But she gave enough information for me to be able to draw a conclusion on her inner emotional state. I wanted to differ-entiate primarily between remedies like Phosphorus, Pulsatilla, Calcarea, and Causticum, which also have fears. I am looking to pinpoint the indications that might give me some insight into her emotional make-up. I want to know which remedy fits her emotional make-up. First of all, you will say that we cannot find out this sort of information without pushing her, which I didn’t
