Case 11: Cervical Spine
Syndrome

INTERVIEW

(F.P.): Since the middle of January, I have pains in different parts of my left arm. .And since March, it got worse, became a boring pain between the spinal cord and scapula on the left side. It gets worse in the evening, while sitting and worse lying on the left side. Over the past 3 weeks, I have numbness in parts of my fingers and sometimes it feels like a formication in the left forearm. I have taken Nat-m; Pulsatilla and Rhus-tox but without any effect. The diagnosis is a compression of the cervical vertebrae C6 and C7.

I have weakness of my left arm. I feel as if I am handicapped somehow, my fingers aren’t obeying my command. And the pains began after influenza. All the remedies I took during the influenza didn’t work very well. The main symptom with this influenza was a general weakness. I couldn’t do anything in my own household for three weeks.
(G.V.): For three weeks? You were so weak?
(F.P.): Yes.
(G.V.): Did you take Stannum?
(F.P.):No.
(G.V.): Laurocerasus?
(F.P.): No.
(G.V.): Did you take Gelsemium?
