(F.P.): Yes, certainly. It’s been a month or so since I started enjoy-ing life again. There were phases before when I was extremely depressed.
(G.V.): And what did you do during the depression?
(F.P.): I got up very late, although I did not really want to get up at all. I did not have much desire for food. I’d talk a lot to my mother. I used to go for walks, which I would increase in length. Through the combination of all these things my self-confidence began to grow again. The confidence that my body was getting better gave me more confidence in myself physically and that I was getting better. This brought back my courage.
(G.V.): Is there any time in twenty-four hours when you feel better?(F.P.): Always in the evenings, even before my illness and now as well. I’ve always been able to do more in the evening and felt better.
(G.V.): Clearer, more energetic?
(F.P.): Everything.
(G.V.): Went to bed late ? Do you like night life?
(F.P.): It doesn’t mean that I go out on the town, but I do like to go to bed late, stay at home and stay up late, even if I have to get up early the next day.
(G.V.): Could you study easier at night?
(F.P.): I simply felt better and was able to take things more easily in the evening.
(G.V.): Do you feel better or worse if you engage in physical activity?
(F.P.): Recently I’ve done less sports than I used to in the past. I did feel better when I was more active.
(G.V.): Have you ever had any warts on your fingers?
(F.P.): Never.
(G.V.): Any skin eruptions?
(F.P.): I had pronounced acne.
(G.V.): How did you manage to get over it?
(F.P.): I was given creams and ointments to apply; finally I tried a pill with an anti-androgen.
