(G.V.): Did you do well in school?
(M.P.): Quite okay, (laughs) I finished with 2.4 on my Abitur (1 is the highest). The only disadvantage I had was that I wasn’t able to participate in sports. I stopped doing sports in the fifth class.(G. V.): And they gave you bad marks for that?
(M.P.): No, I had an attest from my doctor…

(G.V.): Why am I asking all these questions? Because what I see is a child even though he is twenty-one years old. I am trying to find out whether the disease has affected the brain as well. I sense that he has had a bit of trouble with his studies, and this, together with my impression of him as being immature, leads me to think of Baryta carbonica.

(M.P.): I had an attest from my doctor, you know, that I had pains while playing sports and that I had to stop. In the summer it was really hot, and sometimes I had to leave school and go home. But usually I could stand it.
(G.V.): Did you come here by yourself? Your mother and father didn’t come along?
(M.P.): No, I came alone by train.
(G.V.): Are there any other serious diseases in your family? (M.P.): I don’t think so. My father has a problem with his verte-brae – with his discs – and my mother and my little brother have the same disease that I have
(G.V.): You have another brother who is well?
(M.P): Yes an older brother who doesn’t have the disease.
