the time, this is Phosphorus. If she is sweet and wants somebody and she is anxious, then she is Phosphorus. If she is Phosphorus, she will drink water in big quantities, very cold water.
We’re going now to differentiate between different kinds of thirst and kinds of water, and the sort of responsibility that is a big thing for her. Who does not want responsibility? Lycopodium does not want responsibilities, especially concerning family affairs and children- they don’t like it. Not that they don’t like the idea of these responsibilities beforehand, it’s just that after these responsibilities become reality Lycopodium doesn’t like them anymore. Lycopodium does not think very much about children beforehand; but after the children are born they don’t like the idea of them. They feel constricted, they feel obliged to stay. There comes a time when they feel they cannot stand the responsibility anymore and they tend to abandon their family. What she says here is a different thing; did you hear something else as well? An element of her that is quite prominent is that she does not want a family; she is taking the pill. She most probably does not want the responsibility of having a child, that is why she is taking the pill. She doesn’t want the house, she doesn’t want the children, she doesn’t want the responsibility. Another piece of information that has been given is her insecurity, she feels very insecure. Now, create in your mind a picture of that sort of anxiety from a person who is both insecure and indecisive. Now imagine what behavior and reactions that sort of person would exhibit from the decisions made for the future regarding both family and home.

(Therapist): She says that she’s had a lot of anger around her father, and had a lot of trouble in the past with anxiety. She’s had no desire for sex since she had an abortion three years ago. She now desires cold juice, tea, soup, beer or wine. She is hungry but cannot eat; sleeps on the back and the right side.
(G.V.): Was the abortion voluntary?
(Therapist): Yes.
