(M.P.): Not so much. It is strange, I can do a lot of exercise and not be bothered by it, and other times I can walk upstairs and be bothered by it. I think it is tied in with my mental state.
(G.V.): Emotional or mental?
(M.P): Emotional.
(G.V.): Do you know what kind of emotions can bring on the palpitations?
(M.P.): Fear, I think. I mean, I am more likely to be around peo-ple and say… I do some study group now every other Monday, and when I go to the study group, I always know that I have study group today because I get palpitations; not so much the arrhythmia or anything like that, but I can hear my heart beating. Or when I go to work, when I have to be on a one-to-one level with people, sometimes I am more anxious; so I think it is tied up with that. I can’t have more of a nervous part, but I think I had for many years this sort of anxiety and nervousness, and it triggered my heart and made it react, it felt like it weakened it in some way. (G.V.): How is your general strength? Your energy level?
(M.P.): I think it is quite good.
(G.V.): Do you still work with gardens and things like that? (M.P.): Yes, I was doing a lot of gardening work, and…
(G.V.): Do you enjoy it at all?
(M.P): Yes. I enjoyed it because it was different from what I was usually doing, and it also helped my anxiety about money: I was earning more money, which was good.
(G.V.): What are you doing now, are you still doing the gar-dening?(M.P.): Well, it is difficult at this time of the year; so, I’m working with my bio-energetic therapy and looking after my son.
(G.V.): What about this group therapy you were going to? (M.P): I went into some group…
(G.V.): Did it cause some disturbance, some reactions?
(M.P.): I felt it kind of made me worse. After I had the group thing I had a bad time with my heart. Maybe it was stirring things up, so I did not go back.
(G.V.): Do you feel that you have repressed anger inside you?
