And her temperature, which had been hovering around 102-103, was down to 100, but not all the way down. She was somewhat better, but then over the morning and by 3:00 p.m. she was relapsing: the temperature rose again…

(G.V.): This is what I’m expecting – an action of the remedy that enables her to sleep and to lie down more than she could up until now. But because of the severity of the acute, we also have the possibility of an early relapse. For this reason we may have to repeat a high potency. She received 1M, 10M, and 50M poten-cies, if they were properly potentized. Nevertheless, we do have the possibility of a relapse, and she does appear to be relapsing. Moreover, this relapse will really show whether the remedy is correct or not. And since there is a relapse, the only thing that we can do at this point is to repeat the remedy. Why should it be repeated? Because the relapse is too fast; she relapses already the next morning. Initially the remedy caused the fever to sink and brought the cough up as soon as the next morning. So I said okay, repeat the remedy. You take a chance here, but most probably this is the right decision. Still, you are taking a chance because there might already be a change in remedy. In my analysis I said that Pulsatilla may need to be followed eventually by one of the Kalis – Kali sulphuricum most probably, which complements Pulsatilla and is considered a deeper remedy than Pulsatilla.
