An extremely valuable and too little used remedy for profuse, gushing, watery diarrhoea, sometimes associated with coldness of the body and unquenchable thirst, frequently with rumbling and gurgling in abdomen, at times with vomiting of large amounts of albuminous-looking substances; it may be compared with Verat., but, as a rule, it lacks the violent pain of that drug.
