better next day, he received Arum 40m, ten pellets in four ounces of water, a teaspoonful every two hours. A perfect cure. Biting finger nails
A child aged three years, with light hair and eyes; though not decidedly scrofulous, has suffered about a year and a half from the habit – which has been constantly increasing – of biting the finger nails; he would bite them until the fingers would bleed, and it had become very annoying and troublesome. The parents had tried various mechanical means without any benefit, and although firm believers in homoeopathy, thought it useless, or worse than useless, to think of correcting what they were pleased to term, "a mere habit," by internal medication. Like many of our professional brethren they clung with a tenacity worthy of a better cause to their faith in the material nature of disease. Guided by the similarity of symptom, "picks the lips till they bleed," he was given Arum Triphyllum 3. and an immediate improvement followed. In two weeks he was well and has had no return of the "habit."
