Vomiting, chest pain
Mrs. Mott, aged about 32, began having a pain in the stomach, which was after a few days followed by vomiting of stringy mucus. The mucus vomited was so tenacious at first that it would hang to- gether, while lying in a bed, from her mouth to the vessel on the floor. There was burning in the mouth and along the oesophagus into the stomach. I do not remember all the remedies I tried for two weeks or more, but among them were Ipecacuanha, Bryonia, Pulsa- tilla, Mercurius, Hydrastis and Kali bich. The character of the vom- ited matter after some time changed to a coffee ground color. There was tenderness to touch over region of stomach, and things began to look to me, as well as to the patient and friends, like cancer or some other malignant disease of the stomach. The patient, naturally very fleshy, became greatly emaciated, not being able to retain but very little nourishment of any kind. There was one symptom that I have not yet mentioned, and which finally led me to the remedy that cured, viz.: constant and profuse flow of ropy saliva. The amount was enormous and, like the matter vomited, would hang in a string from the mouth to the vessel on the floor. Iris versicolor, which was found to cover more symptoms than any other, was given in the 3x potency, in solution, once in three hours, until improvement began, then at longer intervals, cured quickly and permanently, I think, as there has been no return of the trouble since – now four years.

Periodical attacks of headache
I remember long ago Dr. Bhaduri s wife used to suffer from peri- odical attacks of headache. It was ascertained after careful study of symptoms that Iris versicolor was her remedy. Lower potencies of this medicine were tried with partial benefit. At last, and that was the last attack, our worthy doctor gave her a dose of Iris v. cm, and no more headache since then. It was about ten years ago.
