body and opisthotonos, with extreme restlessness. Stiff extension of the whole body, followed by a spasmodic clapping together of the arms. Shocks in all the limbs when about to go to sleep. Burning in palms of hands with night sweats during fever. Coldness of one hand, while the other is hot. Weakness and heaviness of thighs during haemorhage of treating abortion. Sensation in femur as if dislocated on sitting down. Cramps in the thighs at night with lumps therein. Pain in the knee, as if tendons and ligaments were fatigued by over exertion. In the muscles of the calf a twitching and formication, as if the limb had gone to sleep. Ulcers on foot with black base.
Sleep/Dreams
Yawning before heat with stretching and after coughing. Sleepiness after vomit- ing; with cough. Sleeplessness from oppression of chest, from jerking limbs.
Starting up from sleep. Sleep with half open eyes, moans and groans.Vivid, unremembered dreams, with frequent waking, as from wakefulness, at night.
Chill/Fever/Perspiration
Always chilliness under the skin worse when she sits near the warmth. External cold and internal heat. Shuddering coldness in the limbs just as when one is ter- rified at something; chattering of teeth. Coldness of upper part of body. Chills: up and down the back, with great thirst; from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with intense aching in back and bones, nausea and vomiting; better by drinking and in open air. Fever or chill in intermittents beginning with nausea and disordered stom- ach. Shivering, then chilliness with coldness without thirst, at 4 p.m. Quotidian and tertian chill. Chill every other day at 11 a.m. Chill irregular, light and short, fever long, but not very violent; no thirst during the chill, but much thirst all through the heat, with constant nausea and occasional vomiting. Fever from irregularities in diet. Great increasing, almost burning heat in head and whole body with cold hands and feet, perspiration on trunk, head and especially on the neck with smarting itching when the heat increased to the highest degree. Sudden heat about 4 p.m. with sweat on arms and back. Intermittent fevers; after abuse of quinine. Cold perspiration. Sudden attacks of hot perspiration in the room. Profuse sweat after abuse of quinine.
Skin
Itching of skin, with nausea, has to scratch till he vomits. Suppressed eruption with cool skin, nausea and vomiting. Slowly appearing eruptions with oppres- sion of chest, tickling cough, vomiting. Miliary rash on forehead, temples and cheek. Rash of lying in women. Erysipelas. Herpes.
