ment from a number of medical men. Chills occasionally checked for a few days by large doses of Quinine, only to return with renewed severity in another form.
No regularity in occurrence of paroxysm, assuming all types – quotidian, tertial, quartan, anticipating or postponing, and coming on at all hours of the day or night. Chill severe and pronounced, lasting usually about an hour, with intense thirst only during chill. Chill relieved by external heat. As soon as chill began, although the thermometer was registering the nineties, he would go at once to the kitchen stove, and over a hot fire drink the hydrant dry, as he expressed it. Fever always well developed with much headache and vertigo, but no thirst. Very rarely any perspiration, and with the exception of some vertigo felt well during the apyrexia. The whole case was so well covered by Ignatia that I confidentially assured him of a cure. He received twelve powders of Ignatia 200, one every four hours while awake. Had a slight chill two days after, without thirst, fever was the last of it. Well ever since, now two years.

Intermittent fever
One man having intermittent fever for three years finally came to me try Homoeopathy. There were three prominent symptoms: Chill, seven to nine a.m., with desire for external warmth and coverings; intense thirst during chill, at no other stage. Vomiting, piercing head- ache, as if a spike were driven into the head. Paroxysms on alternate days. Ignatia 30 was given. The next chill was slight, and came at half past ten a.m., and the patient felt better altogether. He received one more dose of Ignatia 30 and never had an attack of ague again. There seemed no doubt that Ignatia cured.
