was dark before him.
For a day or so before the spasm he had a craving appetite; he was constipated, the urine was scanty and high colored; he had a dull, stupid, heavy headache and felt cross and irritable. Had been in the hands of a number of physicians and had taken large quantities of drugs and nostrums without end. After looking over his case care- fully I decided Hyoscyamus was his remedy. I decided to try the 1M so gave him three small powders to be taken one each night, just be- fore retiring. In about three weeks he reported that the previous night he had a very light spasm; not losing consciousness. I then gave him three powders of Hyoscyamus 50M. to be taken as before. In about six months he reported that he had had no spasm but felt as if he was going to have one. I then gave him three powders of Hyoscyamus CM to take one that night, and if he had no spasm not to repeat the dose. In about a week he reported that he had no spasm, had taken but the one powder; but he had some very distinct drug symptoms. Over a year has passed and there has been no return of any symp- toms, has good health.

Depression and total prostration of strength Woman had been sick for several days. The sickness got worse and worse and became serious. The case was one which affected strong- ly the nervous centres and which was difficult to designate by one of the so many nosological terms. The symptoms were :
Depression and total prostration of strength. The patient lay on the bed in a continuous and complete somnolency; and besides that weakness she suffered from a kind of stupidity. It was necessary in order to feed her to place her body in an easy posture, but she could not remain long in that position. As soon as she swallowed, mechanically, a few spoonfuls of soup and a little wine, against her wish, she kept looking somnolent and felt the ne- cessity of sleeping and fell again into the lethargy. It was hard for her to speak, and she only answered briefly when she was questioned. She did not ask for anything; she never spoke and it was always necessary to waken her. The colour of her face was always pale.
