Generalities
The Glonoinum patient is worse from alcoholic stimulants, as much as from lying down; wine and coffee also aggravate.
Such alternative remedies as Belladonna, Lachesis, and Opium relieve the blood pressure when the symptoms agree.
The patient very often is worse after a little sleep, but the common state is relief after a prolonged sleep.
There is great weakness, palpitation, trembling of the limbs, and shaking of one or both hands. It is valuable in cases of Parkinsonism with bursting headaches, and strong pounding pulsations that go down the legs to the toes.
The throbbing is so intense that one can sometimes see it in the pillow, which is vibrating.
There are bad effects from having the hair cut; Bell, is generally thought of in such a case, but Glonoinum has a similar condition. In rheumatic fibrositis, symptoms may be restricted only to the left side of the head. The pains are throbbing, going from forehead to the back of the head; sunlight is intolerable, sensitivity to the slightest pressure on the head, ‘cannot wear a hat’. The pains come suddenly and disappear suddenly. There is excessive heat in the head.
Flashes of heat daily in frequent attacks, with nausea.
Pressure and fullness in the head; vertigo to such an extent that he cannot go alone in the street.
Hot flushes over whole body, with a feeling as though the whole surface would break out in sweat, continuing for hours. Glonoinum is indicated when there is a muscular weakness amounting almost to paralysis.
Swelling of the feet, with numbness.
