which threatened gangrene. There was now suppression of stool and urine, when one night the patient suddenly and involuntarily passed a large quantity of urine, and was attacked by fear of death, with great prostration. Tartar emetic was prescribed in alternation with Aconite. Two days later his condition was as bad as ever.
Prescribed Fluoric acid 6, in water, a teaspoonful every four hours. This remedy worked such a rapid and remarkable change as have never before witnessed in similar chronic cases. His forces rallied, the swelling decreased and entirely disappeared within eight days. Stool became regular, urine passed copiously and without pain; appetite, sleep and pulse in a short time became normal. In two weeks he was well enough to work; continued his medicine for two weeks more, and had no relapse during the next year.

Case of hair loss in a young girl
Girl, aged six; when two years old entirely lost her hair, not a particle remaining on her head, or about her eyebrows or lids. Prescribed Fluor, ac. 30 was followed, in six weeks, by a perceptible change. The hair came out quite thick, and continued to grow until she was attacked with an inflammatory fever, which caused her again to lose her hair, and all efforts to reproduce it failed.

Case of varicose veins
Patient, a carpenter aged 42; troubled with obesity as well as varicose veins. Predisposition to fat inherited; rather sedentary habits. Varicose veins for six years. The left calf was a mass of enlarged veins, some as large as a finger, and very painful. Treatment had consisted of dieting, with acid fluor. 6 and the leg rubbed upward with hazel ointment. This treatment was continued a year, when patient was discharged cured. He had lost 20 pounds
