A sudden running discharge of fluid secretions, i.e., tears from the eyes, water in water retention, ichor from ulcers, etc., has been observed in a number of cases after receiving Fluoric acid, making this one of the most characteristic symptoms of the remedy.
Pressing pain in different parts of short duration, in the evening. Most of the symptoms are on the right side.
The symptoms are worse standing and sitting, and better in the open air.
Bending backward, and bending head back ameliorate ‘Aversion to his business’; it is suitable for states of overwork in business, persons who have constant worries and anxiety to keep up their business and eventually they break down, much like the Calcarea Carb. patient.
Disposition to anxious ideas, frequently to such a degree that perspiration breaks out.
Sensation as if something awful will happen, but without being afraid.
Anxiety; in the morning, ameliorated after rising.
Indifference, even to important business.
‘When in this state of breaking down, the least controversy is sufficient to distort his facial features and to make his motions nervous. He gets into a most ungovernable anger, but only in his thoughts. On the other hand he will get in to the most uncommon buoyancy of mind; fears nothing and is self-satisfied.’
Cheerful before and during menses.
The patient is over-anxious if the bowels do not move regularly; is distressed if the menstrual flow is slightly delayed; suffers if the call to urinate cannot be immediately attended.
