Neck and Back
Tension and stiffness in nape of neck, unable to turn the head. Pressive pain in nape of neck, as from sinking down of cerebellum.
Pressive sensation as if an iron bar were pressing on the loins or the small of the back.
Pain which is felt in the spinal cord, from the nape of the neck to the sacrum.
Extremities
Soreness of limbs, worse at night; in rheumatic complaints.
Cramp-like contractile pain in the shoulder joint, extending to the hand, as if one had carried something heavy in the hand.
The blood seems to collect in the hand, which becomes all blue, and feels paralysed; has to be kept held up.
Pain, stiffness and feeling of dislocation in the knee joint. Elaps cured a case of stitching pain above and below knee, aggravated by motion and by warmth of bed.
Ice-cold feet.
Unsteadiness and lack of firmness in the hands.
Sleep
Dreams of dead people; embraces them, or digs a knife into the wounds of a dead body.
Bites his own hand in sleep without waking.
Fever
Great sensitivity to cold. Does not tolerate cold air and wet weather, but cold drinks are especially aggravating. They lie like ice on the stomach and cause chilly feelings and shivering all over the body.
Ice-cold feet.
In fever, the skin is hot and dry, but patient constantly complains of feeling cold.
‘Flushes of heat in the evening, with redness of face and ears’.
