Abdomen
The most striking symptom in this area is a forcible sensation of constriction, contraction or gripping beneath the ribs or else in the hypogastrium, usual- ly connected with cough; this compels to press upon the hurting part with the hand (because otherwise the pain would become too violent) and often causes nausea and eaving to vomit.
Sudden contraction of the lower abdomen in the evening while lying in bed, on expiration; like a heaving to vomit; causing cough.
A ‘griping together and heaving to vomit’ in the abdomen if the cough does not produce sufficient expectoration.
Stitches in the right side of the abdomen, when sitting.
A ‘dull, drawing stitch’ from the right side of the belly across the abdomen to the left side, nearly taking away the breath; on walking.
Considerable enlargement of the mesenteric lymph nodes; hyper- trophy of the Peyer-plaques.
Rectum and Stool
Outward pressing pain in rectum, not related to stool.
Drosera patients have a tendency to diarrhoea, often mixed with blood and mucus.
Up to fourteen diarrhoeic stools a day. Diarrhoea is most severe after midnight.
Urinary Organs
Frequent urging to urinate, but usually with very scanty urine every time, often passing only a few drops. Brown urine with a strong odour.
Frequent, profuse urination, all day.
Male Genitalia
Drawing stitch from region of left loin into penis.
Itching, dull stitch in glans penis, lasting some minutes.
