Frequent diarrhoeic stools with abdominal pain from the umbilicus downward. Diarrhoea with nausea, vomiting and shivering over the whole body; summer diarrhoea.
Bright-coloured or white stools, if the liver is affected.
Crotalus also has constipation in connection with congestion. Constipation with rush of blood to the head and headache; also with oppression of the chest.
Urinary Organs
Haemorrhage from the urethra.
Dark urine, looking smoky from the admixture of blood; in nephropathia with albuminuria, e.g. during pregnancy. The urine may even look black, forming an almost jelly-like mass; in blackwater fever.
Urine increased a little, intensely coloured, looking reddish-yellow; or else much diminished evacuation of red urine which is mixed with blood. There may also be greenish-yellow colour of the urine which is of thick and jelly-like consistency. A strange symptom is a sensation as though a ball were rolling around in the bladder and pressing itself through the urethra. This symptom was observed for the first time in the case of an eight-year-old boy who suffered with retention of urine. The pain was so intense that he screamed out loud. In this case, a tumour could be seen externally; it seemed to move and twist to and fro. The symptoms were removed by Crotalus C30.
Male Genitalia
Unusual sexual arousal, only during the day, but with total relaxation of the sexual parts; impotence.
Female Genitalia
Irregularities of the catamenia, also with abdominal pain and headaches. For instance: menses one week too soon; free bleeding, preceded by weight in the head and ears; menstrual bleeding accompanied by pain in abdomen and back and cold feet; lasting a little longer than otherwise, finally
