When one sees a patient with grief accompanied by a desire for fruit, either Phosphoric acid or Ignatia should come to mind. The desire for fruit in Ignatia, however, is not the excessive desire that Phos- phoric acid displays where they must have fruit for it alone seems to satisfy their nutritional needs. The Phosphoric acid desire for juicy fruits or juicy fruit extracts is very strong and they will buy them ev- ery day. Of course, the other difference between the two remedies is seen in the quality of the reaction to grief.
