Complaints from fright, shock and injuries. The emotional shock in this patient will take either of two opposite forms:
1.It will create a situation where the breath and speech are withheld from the pain of the stress, creating a kind of mental and emotional paralysis. This is well described in the case of a child who had a shock when abandoned:
