Orbicular eczema
Man, age 72, referred to me after 4 months of severe orbicular ec- zema, affecting both sides, covering eyelids, eyebrows and extend- ing to the anterior margins of both ears. Itching severe, surface raw with slight secretion, pains like needles stitches; patient thin, old, emaciated, very chilly very sensitive to cold draughts and slightest gusts of cold air. All cooling things disagree. Hospital skin specialist treated him with all types of ointments, 4 months without success. The modalities and the type of lesion pointed to Hepar. I begun with one dose Hepar 200. Within 4 days, the single dose of Hepar 200 cleared the case completely. I saw him after 7 days and found not the slightest trace of his previous lesions.

Mrs. H-, aged about 60 years; large fleshy woman with frequent attacks of jaundice. Was called in December, 1879. Found raised, flat, purplish swelling on left thigh; it, had a doughy feel for a space larger than a silver dollar; for a considerable distance around was red, swollen and painful with two prominent indurated, and painful spots like boils; pain intense, no sleep for several nights. Hepar sulph. 2x in water was given, and upon the second night some sleep was had, pain having been partially relieved. The pus was changed from ichorous to free discharge of a more healthy character, and the small openings became larger and more numerous until the entire slough came away in one week, leaving a healing ulcer which was some two or three weeks in healing; the small boils began to disappear at once after taking the hepar, and in three days were entirely gone.
