choking, gagging and crouping. Troublesome hacking cough as soon as he was about to fall asleep, continuing all night, coughs even on shutting the eyes, better during sleep, worse from 1 p.m. to 1 a.m; just at once after a meal. An almost uninterrupted cough from an irritation in the upper part of the left side of the throat, worse when talking and stooping, increasing late in the evening and then suddenly ceases. Scrapy, scratchy cough. Dry, nervous cough all night. Violent cough at night in bed from eleven to twelve o clock. Chronic laryngeal cough, especially at night, compelling her to spring up in bed from a feeling of choking or suffocation. Rattling, loose, choking, moist cough worse towards morning, after eating, from cold air; profuse collection of mucus in the chest, which can- not be removed by coughing.
Expectoration
Copious mucus expectoration. Only in morning expectoration of mucus, bloody or like pus, generally tasting sour or sweet. In croup where there is no expectoration at night, but only in the daytime. Expectoration of souriche mucus at night, almost without cough.Tenacious, thick, yellow mucus with loose rattling cough. Dirty yellowish, purulent, badly smelling expectoration.
Chest
Spasmodic constriction of chest, after talking. Soreness in chest. Weakness of chest so that she cannot speak a loud. Sensation in chest as if hot water were moving in it; as from drops of hot water in the chest. Abscess in axillae, swelling and suppuration of the axillary glands. Boils in axillae, extremely sensi- tive to touch. Skin dry and slightly cracked in axillae, especially left, with much itching becoming worse when the body is heated. Offensive perspiration of axillae.
Catarrh of airpassages, characterized by glutinous, sticky mucus, causing vio- lent and suffocative paroxysms of coughing, often attended by retching pre- ceding its expulsion. Bronchitis with loud rattling of mucus; from suppressed eruptions. Bronchiectasia. Pneumonia, with profuse purulent expectoration. Pleurisy with fibrinous exudation. Emphysema. Abscess in lungs. Empyema. Pyothorax. Tuberculosis of lungs, pituitous. Abscess in mammae and fistula. Mastitis with suppuration preceded by crawling sensation in mamma, which remains hard, with scanty discharge. Scirrhous ulcer on mamma with sting-
ing burning of edges, smelling like old cheese. Stinging pimples on mammae. Ulcers on mammae with much itching or little pimples surrounding the ulcer. Itching nipples, worse left. Mammae swollen, painful walking up or down stairs. Severe palpitation, with fine stitches in the heart and in the left side of the chest.
Back
Perspiration on back about midnight. Coldness as from a draft or wind on the cervical region or between the scapulae. Drawing in the whole back in the
