in at least one regard such sacrifices tend to be self-serving. Entrenched deeply within their psyche is a great anxiety about their own health, especially a fear of cancer. Thus, they may in a way attempt to exorcise their own dread by helping others with a terrible disease, through a cancer charity. They have a tremendous fear of suffering.
Consequently they may try to befriend their doctor, if they perceive that he is being useful to them, in order to be closer to a source of comfort; even at the thought of cancer they may feel the need to quickly run to the doctor. They are liable to request euthanasia if they contract an incurable, painful disease.
All this behaviour indicates their attachment to feelings of pleasure in life, and if this is not going to continue they prefer to die, or so they think. The Fluoric acid fear of suffering due to cancer relates to a general concern that some day in the future there will be suffering. By way of contrast, Chamomilla and Hepar Sul. have a fear of pain and suffering in the moment, not for the future (compare Li/copodium, Stramonium).
These people can seem very colourful, effervescent and excitable. They also can talk very rapidly. Patients displaying rapid speech and corrugated nails should bring Fluoric acid to mind, especially in hyperthyroid states; Fluoric acid is one of our principle remedies for hyperthyroidism.
Tremendous hurry can be seen in Fluoric acid, and they demon¬strate a very businesslike way of conducting their affairs. Again, these are superficial people; they don’t understand sensitivity. Usually they will not reveal themselves fully during the first interview; they must first get to know you. As these cases deteriorate in health, they become increasingly degenerate, increasingly immoral. Morality is a moveable feast for them; they interpret it in a manner that suits them.
