Epistaxis in children.
Colds and catarrhal troubles, ending in nosebleed.
Nosebleed on slight provocation, with headaches at the menses.
Face
Blushing: ‘..from every little excitement or emotion, the face becomes Bushed. When alone and at rest, the face becomes pale and cold, but the least excitement brings a flush to the cheeks’.
The patient becomes waxy, yellow and pallid, with a sickly and anaemic countenance.
Paleness of the face and lips.
During chill the face becomes red. From taking wine or stimulants the face becomes flushed. Redness of face and a healthy look in one who is unable to walk fast on the street, or to stand any exertion.
Swelling of face.
Flushed face with water retention of the lower limbs; flushed face with chill. Face red alternating with paleness.
Mouth
When he has slept an hour before midnight, a heat rises as from his abdomen; the mouth becomes dry, and a nauseous vapour and putrid taste rise up into his mouth.
Swelling of the gums and cheeks.
Pale gums.
The tongue feels as if burnt.
In the morning, sour taste in the mouth.
Everything she eats tastes bitter.
Sweetish taste in the mouth, as of blood.
In the afternoon, a putrid taste rises up into the mouth, which destroys all his appetite.
Sometimes an earthy taste in the mouth.
Solid foods taste too dry, as if they had neither juice nor strength in them; they have, certainly, the natural taste, but it is not pleasant; he prefers thin warm articles of food.
