Stomach and Abdomen
Vomiting from hawking of mucus.
On hawking up offensive mucus, he gets nauseous and vomits his breakfast.
‘Pinching in abdomen in short attacks’. Such paroxysms of pain always alternate with the eye complaints.
Rectum and Stool
Haemorrhoids, with burning and itching at the anus; also alternating with cough or other ailments.
Prolapsus ani, of nine months’ standing, permanently disappeared when Euphrasia had been given for coryza and lachrymation with photophobia. Condylomata at the anus, with very severe burning pain, especially at night. Obstinate constipation. Stools sometimes finally in large, dry, hard balls,
voided with great difficulty; they almost seem to tear the anal passage.
Frequent urination.
Urinary Organs and Genitalia
Prostatic troubles of old men who have to get up frequently at night to urinate. Clarke relates that Euphrasia, given for lachrymation and sneezing, not only relieved these symptoms but also the prostatic troubles; he says that the remedy has since been given in several cases of prostatic troubles, with good success.
Menses too short, sometimes the haemorrhage only lasts one hour. Ophthalmia with lachrymation, with suppressed or disturbed menses. Condylomata at the genitalia, itching and stinging, especially when walking; sore and burning if they are touched.
