(G.V.): Why Sanicula?
(A.9): I thought of Sanicula because I noticed that she had many Phosphorus, Calcium, Natrum, and Magnesium symptoms, and Sanicula aqua has a want of energy and fear of darkness. Later on she had the feeling that somebody was following her. Physical symptoms: there is a long history of illness, with one sickness following another. There was the Tuberculinum element and a sensitivity to slight drafts of air. The only thing that worries me, with respect to Sanicula, is her strange relationship to bread. A very good homeopath told me once that sometimes patients crave what makes them sick, and Sanicula has a significant problem with bread. Usually it is said with Sanicula that there is an aversion to bread, although there is a high desire for fresh baked bread. Sanicula also has digestive problem symptoms, which were mentioned, and flatulence.
(G.V.): What about Lycopodium?
(A.1): Lycopodium was my second choice after Tuberculinum. The form of her eyes made me think of Lycopodium. She has an intolerance to criticism, which is also Lycopodium. She has changeable moods, and she laughs when relating rather serious matters, which is also Lycopodium. Besides, as a child she had a fear of thunderstorms, she had a fear of the dark and a desire for sweets.
