on I went every year. My skin was good for three or four months after each treatment. These treatments consisted of light and an antipsoriatic substance. Later I’d have a setback, but not too bad. I went on that way for years until two years ago when the pains and the psoriasis became bearable. In the meantime, I was in homeopathic treatment because of my bones. My homeopath never treated my skin, he just concentrated on the bone pains.(G.V.): And then you took Sepia and Rhododendron?
(F.P.): Yes. And then two years ago I started having migraines. (G.V.): What kind of migraines? Can you tell me what happens? (F.P.): It starts with a bad feeling all over the body: I feel very nauseated in the stomach and cold all over my body, and there is a pressure in my head, and vertigo. I don’t feel sure on my feet. Sometimes this is followed by a terrible headache on the right side, sometimes it comes on the left.
(G.V.): Where is the pain, mostly on the right, the left, or does it alternate?
(F.P.): I can’t really say.
(G.V.): How severe is the pain when it comes?
(F.P.): Sometimes the pain is like stitches, but more often it is a feeling of pressure.
(G.V.): Where does it start?
(F.P.): It starts here, in the neck – at the occipital protuberance always on the left side, and then it travels all over my head. After an hour the pain is all through my head; after two hours it decides to go to one particular side, either left or right.
(G.V.): And how long does it last altogether?
(F.P.): It varies. Sometimes the headache lasts an entire day or a night, or sometimes for two or three days.
(G.V.): How frequent?
(F.P.): In the beginning, two years ago, I only had them once a month in connection with my menses – before and during – but now it’s become more often.
(G.V.): Do you have to lie down during the headache?
(F.P.): Sometimes I do because of the nausea, vertigo and weakness.
