(G.V.): Did you understand that? She has a constriction in the esophagus; so she cannot swallow any solid food. Perhaps she drinks some water, a little bit of water at a time, but she cannot swallow any solid food because of the constriction in her esophagus.

(Therapist): …well, I don’t know if it is possible. She only drinks liquids, and she says this is an old symptom, it comes on at times of great stress.

LIVE
(G.V.): You see, in great stress she needs water, she drinks all the time. Is that Arsenicum? Is that Lycopodium? Which remedy is it?

(Therapist): She desires company and wants to be with people always, every minute, especially in this crisis. She feels much weaker and more nervous if she misses a meal. When I asked what brought on this acute crisis now, she said that she and her husband began talking about buying a home some day. She said that she is the responsible one in the family, and she was the one to finally say: “Yes, we must make this decision to buy a home.” That sense of pressure and responsibility, even though it was in the future, brought on all this pressure, she said.

(G.V): Causative factor here: The crisis was brought about by a discussion with her husband on whether or not they should buy a house. They decided to buy one. Because she feels that she is the responsible person in the family, the responsibility for this decision rests on her and this triggered the attack. What else did she say? When she misses a meal she does not feel well. What is this symptom of? It is a symptom of Lycopodium. She also said that she always wants somebody with her, by her side. If she has been very thirsty all her life and wants somebody next to her all
