Spasmodic asthma
On another occasion, Dr. Roth was called in to treat a young lady labouring under spasmodic asthma, connected with emphysema of the lungs. She had been treated by one of the chief allopathic physi- cians of Paris for six months without the least benefit. Latterly she had taken ipecacuaha in a ptisan. When Dr. Roth saw her she was suffering from one of her terrible attacks; a drop of ipecacuanha, 1st dilution, in a spoonful of water, removed the attack as if by enchant- ment.

All foods and drinks on being taken were vomited immediately, together with bilious looking matter, which tasted bit- ter. She had nausea continually. She felt bad and played out.
Ipecac50m one powder and Sac. lac. was prescribed. I left another powder of the same potency to be given by evening if not improved. Next day her husband reported she was much better, had retained
