Hardness of hearing. Catarrhal deafness, due to Eustachian catarrh. Humming in ears. Noises in right ear as in a mill. Sensitiveness of hearing to noise.
Nose
Redness and swelling of nose. Nasal catarrh, hard and red mucous surfaces. Coryza; sudden violent while sitting in his room with lachrymation and pressing pain in the eyes. Thin, excoriating, fluent coryza like water with much sneezing. Stuffed coryza, worsein the evening and in warm room, fluent with much expectoration in open air. Postnasal discharge of mucus. Pain at root of nose (in a small spot) and over the frontal sinuses, nose swollen and painful. Hay fever with asthmatic breathing. The right nasal bone and the adjoining part of the upper jaw are painful to touch. Nasal discharge: excoriating, glassy mucus, albuminous, yellow mucus, chronic fetid. Ulcerated, agglutinated painful nostrils so that he cannot breath through the nose. Ulceration in nose with bloody crusts. Scabs in right nostril. Itching shooting anteriorly in septum of nose. A red burning spot on nose, below eye. Swelling and redness of right nostril and underneath.
Face
Coldness of face. Face pale and sallow with blue circles under the eyes, yellowish or greenish, yellow becoming brown so quickly that in a few days the skin of a young woman of twenty-eight looked as if it was smoked. Sallow distressed countenance; sickly expression; pinched dried up look; old looking. Bluish lips with swelling of superficial veins. Painful lips. Peeling off of lips. Facial paralysis following suppression of goitre. Convulsive twitchings of facial muscles. Suppurating ulcer on left cheek with swelling of surrounding glands and a firm lump on the ulcerated spot, which is slow in dispersing. Enlargement and induration of glands. Parotid glands swollen and sore when touched. Pressive pain, with shooting in the region of larynx and of sublingual glands.
Mouth/Teeth
Bad, soapy taste; salty taste; bitter taste. Putrid smell in mouth. Increased sali- vation, compelling frequent spitting; mercurial salivation. Aphthous ulcers in the mouth with putrid smell, profuse fetid saliva. Softening and bleeding of gums; covered with ulcers. Little vesicles on gums and tongue. Gums swollen, red, inflamed, painful to touch, receding from teeth. Thick, brown, croup-like exudation in mouth and fauces. Coated tongue; dry, white at the edges, brown in the centre in the evening.
Teeth covered with mucus in the morning; yellower and more quickly dulled by weak vegetable acids. Cutting-drawing and sore sensation in roots or gum of lower incisors.
