a grain; to those between four and six years, from one grain to 1 1/2 grain; to those between seven and twelve years, from 2 to 3 grains. In general this remedy appears to be more suitable than cinchona in intermittent fevers characterised chiefly by a longer duration of the heat. The fever terminated at the end of two or three days without leaving any traces or any weakness. Ignatia also removed complete- ly, or nearly so, the dyspnoea and suffocating cough in those that presented these symptoms.

Haemorrhoids
Mr. H. F., aged 53, obese. Abuse of spirituous liquors. Haemor- rhoids bleeding, burning, throbbing with downward pressure amel. after stool, pain in them when erections occur; amel. bathing, either hot or cold, or by hard pressure, or sitting on them. Pain in perineum during erections. Bleeding bright red or in thick clots. Stools soft but difficult to pass on account of inflammatory condition of rectum. Urine profuse. Has taken much calomel and rheubarb. Sept. 6 1896, Ignatia 60 (B. and T.) three doses. Oct. 2 Complete relief. Feb. 4 1897 slight return. Ignatia 200 (B. and T.) three doses gave prompt relief.

Vomiting
I was called to a young girl who during several weeks had vomited frequently and who was rapidly losing strength and weight. She told me that she had no pain in the stomach nor anywhere else. Besides, she has no symptoms enabling me to prescribe and her tongue was clean. Sometimes the food was vomited immediately after a meal, sometimes an hour after a meal. I was mystified because the pa- tient had not told me all she ought to have told me. Her illness had followed a grave mental upset. Since then she would not speak to anyone, she had become very morose, and she wept often. These happen to be the leading symptoms of Ignatia. She was therefore given a few pilules of Ignatia 15, and immediately the vomiting came to an end, and the girl lost her melancholy disposition and became
