as if he had swallowed a fish bone or stick. This characteristic runs through the remedy: in inflammations, ulcers, pustules, boils and eruptions we observe that pains are intense and of stitching nature. All the pains in Hepar are worse at night, on touch and pressure, on lying on the painful side.
Paroxysms of fainting in evening, preceded by vertigo. Trembling weariness after smoking tobacco. Sudden weakness, often accom- panied by palpitation on awaking; better by eating. Lassitude in the morning after rising from bed, in the evening, after meals, on walk- ing in the open air.
Ailments from suppressed eruptions like convulsions, paralysis and mania. Traumatic convulsions, caused by excessive pressure on brain during delivery. Trismus of newborn babies. Spasms after in- jury.
Food and drinks:
Desire for fat but also aversion in others. Desire for sour and strong tasting, piquant things, vinegar, sauerkraut wine.
Vertigo

Violent vertigo while riding in a carriage; could not stand alone when on getting out. Fainting vertigo with staring of the eyes, or failing of sight, as if he sat wrapped in thoughts. Headache with vertigo when shaking the head.
Head
Headache worse on blowing nose, from cold, dry weather, from cold wind, from abuse of mercury or copper, when shaking head; better wrapping up the head, bandaging the head tightly. Disposed to take cold from uncovering the head, however the lancinating pains get better when walking in open air. Sensation as if eyes are drawn backward during headache. Catarrhal pain. A cracking sound in the head on the right side after violently blowing the nose. Nightly pain in skull bones. Stitches in the head and severe sensation as if the skull would burst, waking him up at night. Contractive headache, resounding while walking and pressing on the skull from within, very violent in the open air, but going away inside the room.
