in the morning; in the afternoon, hypochondriac; apprehensive and distressed in the morning and excited in the evening.
Generalities
The general pathological features of this remedy are quite prominent and unique in their combination: people with history of skin eruptions, that developed stomach ulcers, photophobia, impaired hearing, chronic discharge from ears, severe constipation, obesity, deformed nails (brittle, thick and hard), keloids, callosities, yellow and sticky discharge from eczema.
Cold aggravates.
Desires chicken.
Aversion to salt, sweets, fish, meat, warm food.
Numbness or ‘empty’ feeling in head.
Callosities of palms and soles.
Induration and burning in the base of the ulcers, inflamed tissues and old cicatrices.
Worried, constipated, with knotty stool covered with mucus.
Cancerous development in old cicatrices is a strong feature of this remedy.
Cramp-like sensation on the arms, the neck, the fingers and the feet. Shortened muscles and tendons. Contraction of tendons, especially behind the knee.
Pain in the periosteum of all the bones, when at rest, especially when falling asleep.
Occasionally shocks throughout the whole body, as from fright, or from an electric shock, both at rest and in motion.
After suppressed eruptions, twitching of eyelids, which gradually spread to muscles of left side of face, and in course of two years developed into general convulsions of whole left side; any motion during eating, talking, laughing or yawning, brought on an attack. Paralytic sensation in all the joints.
Paralysis in any part, but especially in the lower limbs.
