left eye was turned inward. Hemianopsia, sees only left half of objects.
May have a rapid alternation between contraction and dilatation.
‘Intense contraction of pupils, lasting 3-4 seconds, then dilatation, and so on, until finally an intense contraction of pupils remains’. ‘Contraction and dilatation alternated every second and seemed to be dependent on respiration, occurring in the moment after inspiration or expiration’.
Swelling of the upper eyelids; or else a sensation as if the lids were swollen, with pressure, dryness and violent itching-stinging in them.
Oedema of eyelids with suppression of menstruation.
Ears
Drawing pain in the right inner auditory passage, with impaired hearing that side. A sensation in the right ear as from cotton inside, or as though an object were placed in front of the ear, so that the sounds could not penetrate appropriately. Noises: roaring, buzzing, ringing in ears.
Itching in the ear, with much earwax present.
Nose
Diminished sense of smell, even strong odours are no longer perceived; also in the context of a chronic coryza. Violent coryza, especially in the morning; with much sneezing. Sneezing with simultaneous itching in ear.
A profuse mucous discharge from the nose, of ten years’ standing, accompanied by frequent sneezing, filling three handkerchiefs per day, led to dullness of the senses of smell and taste; cured by Cyclamen.
Pressive pain over nasal bones. Dryness in nose.
Face
In many cases the face is pale, looking as in anaemia, with sunken eyes and blue rings around them, pale lips, etc. But hectic flush of cheeks with glistening eyes has also been observed.
Involuntary contraction of the frontal muscles, as in anger.
