TERMS OF PARTICIPATION IN THE TRAINING PROGRAM OF E-LEARNING

The careful study and acceptance of the total of the following terms constitutes a prerequisite for the participation of the student in the training program of the International Academy of Classical Homeopathy (hereby referred to, as the “Academy”), which is described below, as well as for the use of the relevant electronic platform.

CONTENT OF TRAINING PROGRAM

Within the context of its training activity, the Academy provides an e-learning training program in the area of Classical Homeopathy, which has been exclusively based on the tutoring of the Professor George Vithoulkas and which has been developed in accordance with the principles of Classical Homeopathy. In order to achieve the aforementioned aim, the Academy has created a special “Training Internet Site” (e-learning platform), which can offer remote access to parties, who are interested in participating in the aforementioned e-learning program from any country in the world (apart from Greece – those residing within the Greek Territory are expressly excluded from participating in the training program. For the Greek Doctors and Dentists there is a Master of Science Program in Classical Homeopathy at the University of the Aegean http://www.syros.aegean.gr/homeopathy ).

METHODOLOGY OF TRAINING - ON LINE EXAMINATIONS

The aforementioned program is divided into five thematic modules: Theory, Materia Medica, Repertorization, Topics, Cases and Analysis, which are offered to the student in video and audio form. As for the supervision of the students, the Academy, except of Professor George Vithoulkas, will have moderators who will have certified excellent knowledge and experience in the aforementioned subject of Classical Homeopathy.

The students will be given free of charge the books by G. Vithoulkas (The Science of Homeopathy, the Levels of Health, the New Model of Health and Disease, Homeopathy Medicine for the New Millennium).

The students shall have the obligation to participate in the tests of the moderator and to submit the assessments required from them. The student has the obligation to see the whole of the program within a time period of 18 months from the time of his/her submission. In case the student fails to see the complete program within the aforementioned time period, then their access to the electronic platform will be suspended.

The right for a participation in the diploma examinations will have all Medical Doctors, Dentists, Veterinary Doctors and Homeopathic Practitioners as well as those who like to become Homeopathic Practitioners and who have the legal right to practice homeopathy in their country.

As a pre-requisite for the examinations for the diploma, all are required to submit ten (10) cases with follow-ups for six months.

After that, and only following the approval of the Moderator that the student has completed the attendance of the program, the student shall be able to participate in the examinations that will take place ON LINE (after the completion of the program, the student can take part to the exams the date and time of his/her choice). The student shall have the right to have access to their electronic papers within a deadline of one month after the announcement of the results. In case of failure in the examinations, they shall be able to participate again the following examination conducted by the Academy.

Our decision about the cases is that you can do the examination before submitting the cases, but that you will only get the diploma once the cases are submitted and approved. Those who are new to homeopathy should do the full course before submitting cases. The cases should be submitted the latest one year after finishing the studies.The cases have to be treated by the student himself in order for us to be able how he approaches and evaluates them.

Those who will not take the diploma or those who do not have the right of participating in the diploma examinations, they will be awarded with a Certificate of Attendance. This under no circumstances gives them the right to practice homeopathy in their respective countries. This course can be attended by scientists of biology, physics, chemistry, biochemistry and related sciences. This is done with the purpose to open up areas of research for all questions related to scientific proof of homeopathy. Such scientists can get only a Certificate of Attendance.

The student shall have the possibility to watch a sample of the lecturing of the Professor George Vithoulkas in the first page of the platform and more specifically in the address http://vithoulkas.edu.gr.

RIGHTS OF THE STUDENTS

The student shall have the following rights:

CERTIFICATION

After passing successfully the final examinations, the student will be awarded with a Diploma (for those that have a legal right to practice homeopathy in their country) or a Certificate of Attendance (for the rest).

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS OF PARTICIPATION

• Personal computer with at least:

• Internet connection with at least 1Mbps of Download speed/rate.
  As regards the distribution of the training videos, the platform will integrate the software Adobe Flash Media Streaming Server. A suitable Flash Player will be integrated in the page presenting the training material, so as for the users not to have to open any other program, but only to browse through the pages of the platform throughout the whole duration of their interaction with it.
• Registration for a paypal account, as mentioned below in the subsection “Tuition Fees – determination of the participation terms”.

PROCEDURE FOR THE SUBMISSION OF PARTICIPATION APPLICATIONS

The student shall fill in a registration form, by providing a series of information that help in the creation of their personal profile. Upon their registration, the students are also obliged to submit their CV. After the submission of the form, an e-mail will be sent to the applicant and to the administrator of the platform.

The user shall be automatically redirected to the Paypal system of electronic transactions (http://www.paypal.com), where they can pay off the cost of their registration and/or the subscriptions they will choose. The registration will be confirmed with the consent of the administrator, in order to avoid the registration of any malicious users, and only after the payment procedure has been completed. The time the material becomes available commences as soon as the Academy receives the first installment of money.

TUITION FEES – CONDITIONS OF THE PARTICIPATION TERMS

The students shall pay the amount of 2,700.00 Euros through paypal. They can pay it in three equal installments of nine hundred (900.00) Euros, i.e. nine hundred (900.00) Euros upon their registration, nine hundred (900.00) Euros after three months and nine hundred (900.00) Euros after another three months. As for the application of this procedure, the program will be divided into three modules and upon the payment of the amount the next section will be unlocked each time.The lectures shall be delivered to the students in the form of three modules (which will be accessible each time the transaction is completed - First Module, Theory and Materia Medica A - Second Module, Materia Medica B, Repertorization and Questions and Answers - Third Module, Topics and Case Studies). If somebody wants to see earlier the second or the third module of the E-Learning Program and not waiting for three months for the second or third installment, he/she can pay earlier and automatically the second or the third module of the E-Learning Program will be unlocked.

Students who have the right for 50% discount of the original price of 2.700 euros:
a. All students that already have the Diploma of International Academy of Classical Homeopathy.
These students do not have the obligation to take examinations in the E-Learning Program.
b. All students that already have the Certificate of Attendance of International Academy of Classical Homeopathy from the video courses in different countries. After this, they have the right to participate in final exams (please read the student agreement).
c. All students that they are at present attending the video courses in different countries.

The amount of 1.350 euros can be paid in three installments (450 euros each time) or in a lump sum.

For such students will not be given books free of charge. The student that will pay the total of the subscription as one lump sum, shall receive free of charge the new book of Professor George Vithoulkas, "Levels of Health", whereas the postage expenses shall be incurred by the International Academy of Classical Homeopathy.

 The student shall not have the right to choose only the second or the third module. The cases will be given in audio form, whereas the analysis of the case in video form. The students shall have the right to have access to the cases module, after they will have paid off the total of the subscription. The students shall have the possibility to see the complete program within a time period of 18 months. In case they fail to watch the complete program within the aforementioned deadline, the access of the user to the program will be suspended.

The student that will pay the total of the subscription as one lump sum, shall receive free of charge the Materia Medica Viva (12 volumes) of the Professor George Vithoulkas, whereas the postage expenses shall be incurred by the Academy. For those who wish to attend and to complete the program earlier, they will be charged before the expiration of the 3 months and the respective section will be unlocked. As soon as the 3-month-period expires, paypal will automatically charge the next subscription. In case the payment of the amount of an installment is delayed for more than 10 (calendar) days, the ability of the user to have further access to the training program will be automatically suspended. It is noted that the aforementioned amount of the tuition fees, amounting to 2,700.00 Euros, concerns each student-user personally. As regards public organisations (such as universities, colleges etc.) that wish to provide the training program offered by us, are obliged to conclude a special agreement with the Academy.

SUPPORT

Support to the user before their registration will be offered through e-mail, which will appear in the registration page, as well as through telephone, as regards issues that cannot be resolved through electronic mail.

Support to the user after their registration will be offered through the platform itself. A “virtual” lesson will be created, which will concern only the support of the users, to which they will automatically participate after their registration. Such lesson will utilize all of the capabilities of the platform. For instance, by means of the use of the forum for the submission of questions, all the users have the ability to see the frequently asked questions and answers that will emerge after its normal operation.

Answers to e-mails will be given the next business day and within 24 hours as from the initial communication of the user (apart from Saturdays, Sundays and official holidays), whereas telephone support shall be provided from Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00 (apart from official holidays).

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

The total of the content of our website constitutes the object of the intellectual property of the Professor George Vithoulkas and is protected – governed by national laws, European Union laws, as well as international laws regarding the protection of the Intellectual Property Rights. Therefore, it is expressly forbidden to reproduce, republish, copy, save, sale, transmit, distribute, publish, execute, download, translate, amend in any way, either partially or in summary, the total of the content of the specific website, without the prior written consent of the Professor George Vithoulkas, and only to the extent that it is necessary for the facilitation of the needs of that specific program. It is noted that any violation of the aforementioned rules, according to the applicable legislation, brings in a series of serious penalties.

TERMS OF PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA

The administration and protection of the personal data of the visitor-user-student of the website is subject to the terms of the present, as well as of the relevant provisions of the national laws, the European Union laws, as well as the international laws, regarding the protection of the person from the administration of their personal data, as they apply and are in force each time. Due to the fact that the students will monitor cases of patients, they are hereby bound by the limitations deriving from the medical history that apply to doctors, as well as by the current medical code of ethics regarding the facts they learn during practicing medicine. Moreover, it is expressly forbidden for students to make any publication, either oral, or written or electronic, regarding the respective personal data. In case of breach, the violator is obliged to pay compensation for any actual or consequential damage or loss, as well as for moral harm, that the Academy or any third party may suffer as a result of the aforementioned violation of the student-user.

Within the context of respect for the rules of science and the right to dignity and the non-offending of the personality, any insults, personal attacks and, in general, any violating behavior of the users of the program are not allowed in the forum. In case of breach, the Academy, in its full discretion, is entitled to immediately interrupt the access of the student–user to the electronic platform.

APPLICABLE LAW – JURISDICTION

The aforementioned terms and conditions of use of the specific training program, as well as any amendment to them, are governed and construed in accordance with Greek Law, which has exclusive jurisdiction. In case any term of the present agreement becomes inconsistent with the law, it shall be automatically annulled and removed from the present, whereas the validity of the remaining terms shall by no means be affected.
As regards any dispute or disagreement or disputation that may rise during the construction and/or the performance of the present agreement, the Contracting Parties will attempt to reach an amicable settlement. In case the Contracting Parties fail to reach an amicable settlement, according to the above, then the exclusive jurisdiction for the resolution of the dispute or the disagreement or the disputation shall belong to the Courts of Athens.
The present constitutes the full agreement between the Academy and the visitor-user-student, which is equally binding to both of them. No amendment of these terms shall be taken into consideration and shall constitute a part of the present agreement, unless it has been previously formulated in writing and integrated to it.
